The chorus I sing with is doing Benjamin Britten's Saint Nicolas cantata for our Christmas concert--some of the Nicolas stories are rather interesting. One part is downright Sweeney Todd-ish with three little boys chopped up and pickled before Nicolas comes along and resurrects them.
